Does plugging in an FRS radio to the aux input turn off the 4x environmental sound?

Using the Aux Input will not affect the environmental sound feature. You will receive the input audio at a continuous volume level(unless changed by the input device) & environmental sounds will be actively removed when dangerous sound levels are detected.
