Will this belt pair and work with an Uncle Mike's inner velcro belt? Also, how stiff is this belt? Is it comparable to a leather duty belt?

This belt is lined with velcro loop, for use with your inner belt. Yes, this is a very stiff duty belt.

I wear a size 34 should I buy the medium or go up to a large to accommodate for the inner belt and gear?
