The Hornady RAPiD Safe 2600KP Large Lock Box Electronic RFID Safe With KeyPad can run on two AA batteries for backup power supply or for mobile use.

The safe can be used with only batteries and/or power supply. When the safe is operated on only batteries it goes into a sleep mode to preserve battery life. To scan an RFiD tag any button must be pushed to wake the safe up and activate the scanner.
