Quick review of blazehunter pro 2.5-20x35 - ATN BlazeHunter Pro 2.5-20x35mm Thermal Monocular

I purchased this unit to aid in recovery of deer this coming season. I'm 71 years old and have been a lifelong bowhunter and after watching multiple YouTube videos of thermal use, I decided to purchase this. First comment is that the lens cap will not stay on the lens, it is totally useless. Second, is on the rangefinder which I was willing to pay the extra to eliminate the Leupold rangefinder I currently carry on every hunt. My experience with this unit is that the rangefinder is useless! I would not advise anyone to pay a penny for it. I have been sitting outside almost every night and checking out the movement of nocturnal species at my home in the country. Hopefully, this unit will prove its worth in both blood-trailing the freshly shot deer since I am very color blind, and spotting a downed deer well before walking up on it in late evening hunts.
Improvements needed: a decent lens cover that actually stays in place to protect the lens, and a much improved rangefinder!
