Caldwell chronograph - Caldwell Ballistic Precision Chronograph

Purchased chronograph last month to check manufacturers specs MV versus measured MV from my rifle since I planned to use ballistics
Calculators for long range shots. I set it up for the first time this week and fired one shot.The measured MV was about 1000fps faster
Than the specs.I knew that had to be an error and thought that I had shot too far above the sensors. So I decided to aim closer to the chronograph next. HOWEVER I forgot that my rifle was zeroed for 100 yards and with the chronograph at 10 feet I shoud have adjusted the elevation at least 45 clicks up. Needless to my next shot went through the unit and destroyed it.SHOOTERS ERROR! With such brief experience I cant give much evaluation but I do plan to replace the unit and try it again. For the price,it seems a good buy.
