I'm 5.9 and at the time of purchase had a 36 inch waits. This thing still had several inches of slack around the waits at the tighter closure. Maybe I was doing something wrong but I cannot see how this would fit anyone who doesn't have a tremendous waist. I bought the EXO plate carrier in a small/medium and it fit perfectly but this had no where for me to go it it. I returned because it was huge.
