Nice idea horribly executed - Gould & Goodrich BootLock Ankle Holster for Backup Gun

Made of kydex and leather-like material that appears rugged enough. Unfortunately, the method of construction is in layers which add unneeded thickness to the final product.
The holster itself is a solid 1/4in thick on all sides.
The half of the firearm retention strap that stays straight is a separate piece of plastic wedged between the holster and the leg strap.
The leg strap is inexplicably made from two leather-like pieces which are overlapped behind the holster.
All of this layering is held together with metal screws, adding up to a total of 3/4in of space between your leg and your iron which pushes the entire gun out at a weird angle that makes it impossible to conceal at any orientation without wearing hip-hop pants. I measured, from skin to leather, this rig stuck out nearly 3 inches at the widest point.
Pros: velcro holds, retains gun
Cons: does not conceal, far too thick and bulky
