Sized perfectly for 7-1/4 - TRU-SPEC Military Stripe Boonie Hat

I can count on Tru-Spec for fit and consistency. With respect to military specifications: I don’t believe looks are important on this type of hat but it does look the best of all types tried (cheapies to outdoor rated name brands). The brim covers my face and head from the sun without obstruction of vision or movement like a larger brimmed sun hat. The brim holds its position even with wear and time in the elements. Folds up and stores easily. This style is meant to break up the pattern of the human head and does better in the multi-cam pattern. Stitching and material is durable; resistant to both sun, sweat, rain, salt water, body oil and even gun oils. It is very fast drying considering the coolness when purposely soaked. I have a coyote brown Tru-Spec still in use since 2014 but needs an oil change. I ordered the multi-cam because the OD green has taken longer than 21 days to ship. I ordered the OD green for the price. I’ll snag me a new coyote brown Tru-Spec 7-1/4 soon because my boss has appropriated mine and may have lost it. I think his wife might’ve chucked it. I haven’t tried the other colors or patterns because 2-3 birth control hats do the trick for mil-spec hats worn in civilian situations. I hike with dogs, sail catamarans, shoot, work in construction and even nap in these hats. My only complaint is that the price varies well beyond the cost of color or pattern. 6 stars otherwise. This hat is a must for any kit I find useful enough to pack (EDC to emergency car/ truck kits).
