Love the Bluetooth
First I have been struggling with an old Pact Model 1 Chrono for many years. This CED unit is easier to use than the Pact but where this Chrono really shines is when paired with a smartphone. No more writing the info down and manually entering it into a computer. You can add photos of your groups or...

Do not buy
I recently purchased this chrono and it’s all over the place. The load for my 308 is around 2850 and my 5 shots were 1500, 1795, 7785, 2875, and the last one was 2200. All shots back to back so no variable was changed.
Perfect & Worth it!
The Competition Electronics ProChrono DLX with Bluetooth answered the easiest question I had, what is the velocity of my Mathew’s V3X and Exodus NIS 350 custom built arrows. Three shooting strings and I have my answers. Make sure you have a 9volt battery to start. Simple setup, download app or just turn on and go. The app makes it simple, stats, we love stats and numbers. Glad I purchased thru OpticsPlanet, fast, on time, ready to go, wait for a sale you will feel better about yourself, just like your wife taught you, on sale you save money. Haha. Or just buy it it’s worth it.
Pros:
- Easy
Cons:
- 9volt
Best Used for:
- anything

ProChrono DLX with BlueTooth
This is my first chronograph purchase. Have not had much time with it yet. However, I like the simplicity of it. Turn it on and start measuring right away. BlueTooth connectivity works without any problems. I look forward to measuring the velocity of many projectiles in the near future. Airgun pellets, various 9mm ammo, Superman's spit, Major League fastball pitches (need to borrow a pro team player for this), and anything else that comes to mind.

Works great!
Only shot about 40 rds of 10mm and 45ACP through it, but seems to be accurate as far as I can tell comparing to factory and my handloads.

New Chrono
Picked one up to modernize and replace a Pact1. Going from manual to now syncing on an iPhone made testing loads and reviewing data much more enjoyable, and efficient. Did not have to spend $100’s either.
Pros:
- Cost & Features
Cons:
- Still reliant on ambiant light
Best Used for:
- Load testing

Chronograph for ballistics - Geek
received in about 5 days / opened / installed one 9V battery (Super feature: place for a spare battery - sounds simple but a great design)
Turned on Bluetooth picked up immediately to tablet / voice readout first shot
Screwed onto camera tripod . Thumbs up
I began use trialing different pellet ammo for a new Springer: it worked FLAWLESSLY from the first to the last shot / not even one mis-read over approximately 50 shot.
- Excellent tool for future ballistics geek sessions

So far so good.
First time out with 338 Lapua hand loads. Shot two strings of eight rounds, the chronograph measured every round. The android app worked perfectly and the voice called out all the velocities. All the functions of chronograph worked as intended. I am very pleased with the chronograph so far, and am taking it back out today for further bullet testing. For the price, I don't think you can go wrong. I would recommend this product. The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is because these sites bug you for a review soon after you purchase the item and don't give you enough time to fully test the item.
Pros:
- cost, and quality
- Cost, functioinality and features offered.
Cons:
- So far, don't have any.
Best Used for:
- What it's intended for.

Nice chronograph
Tried it out as soon as it arrived on some bb guns. Then took it to the range to test some hand-loaded 7mm mag. Works great. App is easy to use. Easy to change strings and it even summarizes the data for you.
Pros:
- Tells velocity of everything from bb guns to mag rifle cartridges
Cons:
- Haven't found any cons yet
Best Used for:
- Measure velocity of hand-loaded rounds
Would recommend: Yes
Some difficulties but works great.
The ProChrono I received was missing the shields when it arrived. A call to Optics Planet took care of that. They contacted Competition Electronics and the shields showed up shortly. A representative from Optics Planet contacted me a little later to make sure that the order had been satisfied. Great customer service.
I had some trouble pairing the ProChrono with my phone and Windows tablet to use with the app. I called Competition Electronics for help and the technician I talked to explained the the instructions need updating and walked me through the short process. Everything works just like it should and the customer service both at Optics Planet and Competition Electronics were very responsive.

- Once paired, the app is very useful
