Small, cheap, functional - Vortex 8x25mm Solo Compact Waterproof Monocular

Glass clarity isnt pristine but you can still make out small letters (like license plates) at distances out to 200-300 meters. Extremely lightweight and portable; not the greatest eyebox but cupping your hand over the objective and placing it directly over your eye allows you to scan without squinting. Great monocular for the money that will fit in most admin pouches/cummerbunds, will fit into a pocket easily . Especially useful if you dont want to flag random people using a rifled scope. 60$ is an unbeatable price.
