These are a good bang for buck. I bought these to see target hole on splatter target at 100 yards. Very difficult to see the holes for zeroing. I recently purchased the vortex triumph 10 x 50 HD binoculars. Just opening the package, you realize you're getting good quality. I think for the price that was paid. The optic quality is superior to other brands. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Just as described

My wife and I have several larger and smaller binoculars for birdwatching, hunting, and general "checking things out." These 10x42's fit a slice between our existing bino's with both size and price. The quality of build and clarity of view is just as described. The size is a good compromise with enough weight and grip to hold comfortably while still being small and light enough to pack and carry. Focus is smooth with an independent diopter. We haven't had it long enough to comment on the ruggedness, but at our age and activity, I expect them to last beyond our life spans. Given the rest of the spec's, I would fully recommend.

Great for a loaner pair

I have several hunters a year who invariably show up without boots, rain gear, gloves, hats, and most often - no binoculars.

I don’t want to loan out my really good glass (they tend to “forget” to return them at the end of the stay) so I hand them some various Vortex binoculars as they are really excellent products and they are sturdy when they inevitably bang them up.

I keep a pair in the Polaris for ready use.

I have several pair at this great price.

I picked up the Vortex Triumph HD 10x42 as a budget backup pair, but honestly they perform way above their price class. The image is crisp and bright, even in late afternoon light, and the HD glass really does cut down on glare. The focus wheel is smooth with just the right amount of resistance, and the rubber armor feels solid and grippy. I also love that it comes with the GlassPak harness—super comfortable and easy to access quickly. For anyone who wants great optics without spending big money, these are a killer value.

Surprised at the glass quality and build of these binoculars for the price. With the included “Glass Pack” in this package with Vortex’s accompanying lifetime warranty, I strongly recommend giving these a hard look for an everyday carry/hunting combo. Great work Optics Planet and Vortex - keep up the good work!

Good Value

These work well for the price. We wanted a pair to keep with us while riding off road. These are waterproof and dust proof which is why we chose them. The objective dust covers don’t stay on very well which is why the 4 star rating. Otherwise they work great.
